Hope the community of this forum can help me on my problem with Windows Update. I'll open a thread with details. The forum looks nice and my impression about is, here are the real experts. Thanks for letting me be here.

I was heavily into IBM mainframes - coding Cobol VS2, JCL, PL/I, CICS, VSAM, etc... mostly for tax and finance-related systems for quite a few years back in the day then everything changed to PCs and servers. I then returned back to state and local sales & use tax return filing and s&u tax law as my primary job with E. I. DuPont de Nemours & Co., Inc., Hertz RAC, and others, but kept mainframe coding secondary as well as finally learning the back end of Windows (starting with Vista in 2007). Prior to that, I really never ventured behind the Windows Desktop Glad that you found us and I do hope that we can be of help to you. Regards. . . John

I trust you will find the help you need for your Windows update problem - there is a wait sometimes because a lot of us are still in training for helping on the Update forums and the number of qualified helpers is very small at the moment.
