At Google I/O, Google confirmed its rumored partnership with Asus and
introduced the world to the Asus Nexus 7. The company is hoping to compete directly with Amazon's 7-inch Kindle Fire, which currently retails for $199 in the United States, so it made sense when Google announced a $199 price tag of its own for the 8GB Asus Nexus 7. But what about the UK? As we all know, the Kindle Fire still isn't available in Britain. So how much is Google going to charge on that side of the pond?
