Gday,

Have been having BSOD issues for a while now and finally cannot ignore anymore.... Reasons include

- REFERENCE_BY_POINTER
- IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
- MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
- BAD_POOL_HEADER
- SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXEMPTION
AND
- Reason are just plain BLANK -
Seem like ive had them all!!!!!!!!!!

Have followed the BSOD Posting directions (thanks jcgriff2) so here goes,

· OS - Windows 7 Professional - 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601

· Original install done by me onto 4+ pass formatted drive.
· OS full retail version - Microsoft direct (Legalization Version W7 Purchased for an old system that was running Cracked version when offered by Microsoft)
· Age of system - All Hardware Secondhand except Power Supply brand new 6mth old
Motherboard - approx 24 Months
Ram - approx 24 Mths
HardDrv - 3+ Yrs
· Age of OS installation - 3Mths (Hoping to fix previous BSOD Issues)

· Video Card - NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 (Two Monitors)
· MotherBoard - Gigabyte - GA-P55-USB3 (Rev2)
· Power Supply - brand & wattage - (?? Not accessable without removal- System put together by local tech - Brand New Switching Power Supply Installed, gave him new 550 watt to use and upgraded at his recommendation (Told Overclocking ready although I never have)
· System Manufacturer N/A - Custom Build
· Ram 4 x Corsair DDR3 2GB VENGEANCE (8GB)

Have also attached SF Diadnostic tool output folder (Was on Seven Forums, went to download tool at Captain Debugger and Author: Shyam Sasindran reccomended this site in his question replies so here I am. Hope that helps :-)

Thanks in advance for the help, next step is to my new local tech since i moved (But being broke means that wont happen for a while)

There is only 1 .dmp file in the upload, please check the C:\Windows\minidump folder for more.

There are several older drivers on the system that could very well be causing the problem

scmndisp.sys Wed Jan 17 02:48:03 2007
teamviewervpn.sys Thu Dec 13 04:22:09 2007
RtNdPt60.sys Sun Jul 19 22:27:32 2009

In addition to the advice by Wrench97 to update the drivers, please could you run the following hardware tests?

RAM - Please run Memtest86+ to check your RAM. A tutorial on how to do this is available here: Test RAM With Memtest86+

HDD - Check your HDD for errors using Seatools. A tutorial for this is available here: Hard Drive (HDD) Diagnostics

Stephen

Thanks Wrench97,

I guess Advanced Systemcare is deleting Minidump maby? I will turn it off and install the drivers you have listed.

God I hope it's that easy, I guess like most things in life, only time will tell. I will re-post outcomes either in a week or so or after my next BSOD (No no God No....lol)

Thanks again for the direction!

:-)

Thanks Tekno Venus will do... Champion! ;-)

I hope you're not using Advanced System Care??? This software is a known cause of BSOD's. Most people here do not recommend the use of automatic optimisation tools for Windows 7. Microsoft have improved Windows 7 and 8 significantly and it is much better at organising and optimising itself than its predecessors. Windows 7 and 8 are not XP. Automated optimisation software can delete important registry entries that can cause multiple problems with Windows.

If you feel the need to use a registry cleaning or optimisation software, I recommend the use of CCleaner but make sure you back up the registry before making letting ccleaner delete anything.
I also recommend the use of Puran Defrag to defragment your HDD. Check the "Boost Overall System Speed By Puran Intelligent Optimizer (PIZOR) under additional operations.

Looking again at your attached files, I recommend removing all the following software:
Code:
Advanced SystemCare 6
IObit Malware Fighter

I do not trust IObit Malware Fighter to offer protection, and you already have a current A/V software installed. If you want on-demand malware scanning, I highly recommend ]Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free

A great big thanks to all that posted their assistance. After following all the suggestions (except the ram test, it scared the hell out of Me that i might fry my system or something....lol....) I again had two more bsod's.
Reading through the notes I did a little research of my own and realised that in my "noobyness" buying all my own components I purchased my ram as 2 corsair ddr3 6gb packs (3x2gb sticks x 2) thinking I would have two spare sticks should I ever have to replace 1 or two etc....
After visiting corsairs website I realised that these kits are designed for motherboards with 3 slots!!!! And upon further inspection that the kits i have (CMZ6GX3M3A1600C8) are not suitable for my board.

Time to buy new ram i'd guess.

If anyone thinks this ram should be ok let me know, otherwise thanks again and all the Best for The future :-)

Memtest shouldn't scare you. In fact, it's one of the safest diagnostic tests available. Testing the RAM is a very low-intensive procedure and will not put any of your parts in jeopardy. Seatools is actually quite more stressful since it can easily degrade the lifespan of a hard drive if done too much, especially on a drive who's health has already been compromised by some internal fault. However, it is safe to just do the SMART test, the Short DST test and the Short Generic. The Long Generic and the Fix All tests are by far the most strenuous and it is not recommended to do those tests unless all files have been backed up and you are under dire circumstances and have few other options.

Hope the new RAM works out for ya.

Thanks Gnarus :-)

Smart test will be the very first thing i do if the ram replacement does not stop my BSOD hell.

I have to say again, thanks to all who contributed to this post via replies and advice, i cannot express how much I appreciate it period.

Cheers,

Drucey
