Hi Wrench97.

Followed your thread and produced this report.

You should have a folder named Windows7_Vista_jcgriff2 that was created by the scripts just zip up(right click on it and select compress) and then attach that to your post.

Did you run the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant on this system before installing WIn8?> Upgrade to Windows 8 - Microsoft Windows

What OS was installed before Win 8?

Where there any issues with it?

The Philips 713x Inbox PCI TV Capture card may also be a problem finding the right drivers for.

As will the Agere SoftModem Driver. Agere was bought out by LSI who only supplies drivers to OEM's and has not updated this one for Windows 8.

2 Verifier enabled dumps naming netio.sys(Network I/O Subsystem)
These network drivers are out of date.
netr28.sys Tue Nov 13 23:47:35 2012 Ralink RT3090 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter Driver update from here > MediaTek - Downloads Windows
fetn63.sys Tue Nov 15 20:41:17 2011 VIA Rhine Family Fast Ethernet Adapter, I'm not sure where you found this driver as Via reports the VT6105L eithernet chip is not supported by Win 8.

KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000008e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
happening.
Arguments:
Arg1: c0000005, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: 82a8e3a2, The address that the exception occurred at
Arg3: a81df7a8, Trap Frame
Arg4: 00000000

Hi Wrench97,

Yes did upgrade assistant 8 months back when I did a OTA Win 8 Pro upgrade.
Win 8 uploaded onto XP.
No Issues that stopped me Streaming Video, or using Win 8.

I purchased the Windows 8 DVD, should I do a Clean install of Win 8 Pro using the DVD.
Will it be the Full Windows 8 Pro on the DVD.
If yes could you give me instruction on How.

Thanks BF.

Did the upgrade assistant say anything about the Via network adapter or the Modem?
Since the problem seems to be in the networking sub system the VIA controller/driver is of course a suspect.
Do you use wired or wireless to connect to the network?

Hi Wrench97,

Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant Report, read's.
1..Via Rhine III Fast Ethernet Adapter (Compatible).
LSI PCI Soft Modem (Compatible).

I use Wi Fi to 300Mbps n compatible router.
I Telneted a 20/40 Mhz command to up router
from 150 Mbps to 300 Mbps.

Thing is when I start Streaming wifi HD the PC's Fan
goes mad, think it was going to Take Of, then
depending on the problem it could be 5 or 15 minutes
before the BSOD Kick's In.

Had a (Memory Optimizer) running at the same time as the Fan speeds Up.
The amount of free memory stayed the same at (Free 1303 MB) used memory (743 MB).

BF.

Update the Ralink RT3090 wireless driver.
If you get another BSOD remove the memory manager software.
If you get yet another BSOD disable the Via network adapter in the device manager.

And of course attach any .dmp files generated by the bsods to your posts.

Hi Wrench97,

I disabled Via network adapter.
I also found in (Programs and Features)
an LSI PCI soft Modem, I uninstalled that too.

Tested with HD Streaming for 1 hr without any
Blue screen, but PC fan rises to a very high speed,
Sound becomes inaudible because of the sound of the fan
CPU usage goes up to 89% too.

Will test for BSOD and report back.

Thanks again BF.
