Hi, my PC with 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate There have been several sudden crashes that forced me to restart the PC, and I decided to do a sfc /scannow, which could not repair some files. I do not know if it is the cause of the problem, but as it gave the errors of SFC I need help to solve them, thanks. I'm new here

Hello and welcome!

Due to the precise nature of your corruption, you will receive help from a user named iMacg3. He's one of our senior trainees here who's in his final phase of his studies and needs to gain some real world experience in specific areas of Windows Update. This means that he'll be assisting you, but that I will first need to double check and approve his fixes before he posts them to you. If anything this is a good thing for you because it means that you've got at least two of us watching over your thread, but it will unfortunately add a slight delay between each reply. I hope that you understand and can accept the need for us to train up new members in this way in order to carry on doing what we do here, however, if for any reason you object to this setup, I will happily take on your thread myself.

Thank you very much for your understanding. We'll be with you very shortly.

Hi eduardaniel1, Welcome to the Sysnative Windows Update forum.

I am iMacg3 and will be helping you with your computer problems.

Please keep the following information in mind before we begin:
  • Do not run any fixes or tools on your system unless I request that you do so.
    • Running additional tools on your system can interfere with the fixing process.
  • Please read all instructions carefully, and complete them in the order listed.
    • Items that are especially important will be highlighted in bold or red.

  • If your computer seems to start working normally, please don't abandon the topic.
    • Even if your system is behaving normally, there may still be some issues that need to be addressed.
  • If you have questions at any time during the process, feel free to ask.
--------------------

It appears you used a command to "filter" the results of CBS.log. I will need to see the entire results of CBS.log.

Please do this:

  • Press the Windows Key + R.
  • In the Run box, type c:\windows\logs and click OK.
  • The Logs folder will open. Right-click the CBS folder and select Copy.
  • Navigate to your desktop, right-click and select Paste. The CBS folder will appear on your desktop.
  • Right-click the CBS folder on your desktop and select Send To > Compressed (zipped) folder.
  • A file called CBS.zip with a different icon will be created on your desktop.
  • Please attach CBS.zip in your next reply.
If you are not able to attach the file due to its size, upload it to a file sharing site of your choice and post a link in your reply. An example is SendSpace.

---------

In your next reply, please include:
  • Attached CBS.zip

Hi,
  • Download SFCFix by niemiro and save it to your desktop. <- Important
  • Download SFCFix.zip (at the bottom of this post) and save it to your Desktop, the same location as SFCFix.exe.
    • Drag and drop SFCFix.zip onto the SFCFix.exe icon, and release it.
    • SFCFix will process the script.
    • Once complete, SFCFix will create a log on your desktop. (SFCFix.txt)
    • Copy and paste the contents of SFCFix.txt into your next reply.
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system.

Hello, here the contents of SFCFix.

Hi,

System Update Readiness Tool (SUR) Windows 7 - 64-Bit
Note: If you already have downloaded this, no need to download it again. However, make sure to run the tool again.
  • Download and run the following file.
  • When it asks you if you wish to install, please answer Yes. Note: It could take several hours to run. Please don't cancel it.
  • You will get an Installation Complete screen when it's done running.
  • Please attach the log from the following location. C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log
Please Note:: if the file is too big to upload to your next post, please upload via Sendspace and just provide the link here.

Can you clarify this a bit more? Are you referring to a BSOD? (Blue Screen error)

Hello, it will take me a while to do what you ask.

Can you clarify this a bit more? Are you referring to a BSOD? (Blue Screen error)

No, it's not a BSOD. At random my PC is completely blocked, it does not react neither the keyboard nor the mouse, only until I press the reset button, but it does not give any blue screen error. This has been happening after a failed attempt to restore the system. It has also happened without using the PC

Sorry for the delay.
I will reply with further instructions soon.

SFCFixScript.txt

  5. Drag the file SFCFixScript.txt onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a log should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this into your next post for me to analyse please - put

tags around the log to break up the text.
