FF 29.0.1 Does Not Work correctly with Plugin "DownloadHelper" Version 4.9.22.

Using Firefox 29.0.1

Addons:
Adblock Plus 2.6
BetterPrivacy 1.68
DownloadHelper 4.9.22
VLC WebPlugin 2.1.3.0

I have used DownloadHelper for about 3 years without problems. I just updated FF to 29.0.1. Now when I open FF the DLH icon (3 balls) no longer appears in the FF window. DLH is enabled. Nor does it appear next to the URL entry box like it used to. The 3 balls icon does NOT appear in the window that opens when I click View>Toolbar>Customize. This plugin WORKED in FF version 29.0.

It DOES appear when I click Tools in the menu bar, but the option to download does not appear. The black arrow at the upper right of the screen DOES turn green and works properly.
It DOES appear in a Youtube window, and it works fine.

I have reinstalled DLH but no joy. I have disabled all plugins except for DLH and VLC WebPlugin but the problem remains.

Where do I start looking for the problem?

Uninstall FF and re-download it, then go grab your extensions and see if the issue is still happening.

Okay. I did what you suggested - downloaded version 29.0.1, and downloadhelper version 4.9.22. Then I uninstalled FF and DLH. Next, I installed FF 29, then DLH 4.9. No joy. Exactly the same thing happened. No DLH icon anywhere, not even in the Customize menu. Sometimes I can click on Downloadhelper in my context menu, and sometimes I can then click "Media", but most of the time "Media" does not appear as a selection. Ideas?
