Hi, I was asked to come here via DR M on the Security Arena Forum to say that it has passed from the Forum and the computer is clean.
I am on Windows 10 1909 currently and I got the offer to upgrade to version 20H2. I tried doing this via Windows Update which downloaded the update, restarted the PC but the computer stayed on 1909 with the above error in my Update Log.
Failing this, I turned to the Windows Media Creation Tool to try and install from USB. The install got to 90%, restarted the PC to a BSOD, then restarted again and it stayed at version 1909. I used the sysdiag tool to find any errors and here is the contents of the results log file:
This was when I was directed to DR M on the security forums who helped me clean up unwanted programs on my PC, recover some missing registry entries/services etc. The thread can be found here: Review log files?
From the posting guidlines:
I ran the sfc /scannow and didn't find any integrity violations
The DISM scan completed succesfully
Sfcfix completed with no issues.
I have attached the CBS logs.
