Feature Request: add the possibility to merge partitions of 10 & 7 without data loss.

request to windows a program to mergin partitions of windows10 and 7 without data loss and without loss programs installed

can someone of microsoft took this inquiry by the future to implement . a lot of people has a lot of partitions and put in one single without losing data or programs will be useful.

What do you think about this. A lot of people have different partitions mergin in one will solve all the major problems. since you can take some small space to one and then join all windows partitions into one and recover all your data and programs. and then the bugs will not be more important

Hi bilgamyompi.

This is a feature request about windows "disk management".
This forum isn't owned by Microsoft.
If you're using windows 10, you could try to create a new feedback ("ticket" or topic), via the feedback hub, in Windows start, settings, storage, give us feedback.

Re: Feature Request: add the possibility to merge partitions of 10 & 7 without data l

itst just because i have three partitions of windows. two of windows 10 , one is bugged i can not update it with windows update and has a lot of bugs. This partition i have like 330 gb of disk space and basically i can not do anything with this because to fix is just hard and breakhead. Other partition is full one of 189 , and my last i installed a new windows / seems that windows now is more reliable and did a big update to make it more stable but unfortunately not at all. Basically is that i have one partition of 330gb and i have one windows 10 installed and to fix it i dont want to lose my programs, configuration , etc.. but the problem is fix it like i said sometimes once time is bugged is like impossible so the only fast way is deleting all and this is bad because you must to installed everything of new. so thats i was trying to basically search a simple solution that maybe microsoft could take to the people to avoid this , but probably maybe is impossible. sorry for extending a lot but it was i was just trying to say.

You can merge partitions using third-party tools, however, I wouldn't be able to comment on their reliability since I've never used them myself.

It seems that you originally opened a Windows Update thread a while ago, have you tried the suggestion provided to you?

Third-party tools are almost all fully reliable, but a full system backup in a safe place BEFORE those operations is mandatory (better safe than sorry)!

Some weeks ago I used macrium reflect free for the system image (and also aomei backupper standard, given that I lost the giveaway license), then merged and resized partitions with minitool partition wizard free (I have also other partition software got by past giveawaies: eassos partitionguru, aomei partition assistant and macrorit disk partition expert - partition extender).
Luckily, without bad consequences.
Obviously you shouldn't touch EFI and "Microsoft reserved" partitions.
