[SOLVED] Failing Windows 7 update to Windows 10

Good Morning and greetings from Latvia!

Did a few google searches considering this problem of mine and stumbled upon this marvel of sysnative forum, seeing that You good fellows have fixed similar issues in past - I decided to try my luck.
Update method that I'm trying to do is using Windows Media Creation Tool, by downloading clean Windows.iso, extracting it and running setup as Admin, disabling updates, because that's how it gets furthest in whole update process.
It goes through 1 stage easily and then on stage 2 somewhere around 30% it fails in one of the restart sequences and starts to revert back to Windows 7 giving me "0x8007001F - 0x20006" error with " The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during REPLICATE_OC operation".

What I've tried so far:
sfc /scannow gives me this thing - "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation."
Tried updating windows using built-in updater but it had it's problems as well, tried using Troubleshooter, it allowed me to install few updates, but then again there's hanging now 8 small important updates, that installs successfully, but after restarting or shutting down PC, it want's to install them again.
Tried SURT as well, didn't help.
I'm attaching all log files that might help You guys out, if something is missing, please let me know.

  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put [CODE][/CODE] tags around the log to break up the text.

Please also provide your COMPONENTS hive using the following instructions:

Retrieve Components Hive
1. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
2. Please copy this file to your desktop.
Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
3. Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To...Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
4. The file will likely be too large to upload here so please upload to a file sharing service. Examples of services to upload to are Dropbox or OneDrive or WeTransfer and then just provide the link in your reply.

Please create a backup of your current COMPONENTS hive and then replace it with the one attached. Once complete, then please run SURT again and if it reports no errors, then please attempt to update. Otherwise, please provide the CheckSUR.log as you did before.

My fingers were itchy and I wanted to risk updating before I got more info and this is the result: it moves a little bit further in to update process on 2nd stage somewhere about 60%, comparing to initial 30% and now I get new error, after it rolls back to Windows 7 - 0x800707E7 - 0x3000D and "The installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATA operation". Tried to check Windows update status, now it fails only with 1 driver left and it's (KB3010788) and for some reason SURT doesn't work anymore it gives error: "Installer encountered an error: 0x80240037".

Please don't be harsh on me for having itchy fingers.. 🤓
 
There's one deployment subkey which I need to find and then I'll provide you with the amended COMPONENTS hive. I'm not sure why SURT is no longer working.
 
Could you please create a backup of your current COMPONENTS hive and then replace it with the one attached? Once complete, please attempt to run SURT again and then provide the CheckSUR log if it fails.

Replaced components, but SURT doesn't work anyway - same error as earlier. Looking on CheckSUR.log it doesn't update it's contents as well, but I'll attach it anyway, just in case and also I'll add some other log files, that might help You out from update process. Googling for that migration error, found some people having issues with "UpdatusUser", but this probably ain't the case, because I don't have one in profile list as well as there's no hidden folder/registry entries and I don't have GeForce GPU - FYI.

Okay, I believe I know what the issue is now and I'm not sure how easy it will be able to repair it.
 
Please try the following amended COMPONENTS hive and then attempt to update again. If it fails, then please provide the latest CBS log(s). Basically, there was a number of missing keys which I've replaced the majority of now.

Now it went up to ~71% on 2nd update stage and failed.
CheckSUR.log - still no change and SURT gives the same error, but CBS.log got quite massive.

I will add a few log lines from setupact.log file in this location: C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther, that "might" give us some hints for this problem in migration phase?
First Warning line might actually be some kind of user profile related error?

Please replace your COMPONENTS hive with the amended version and then provide the latest CBS log if it fails. I haven't been able to replace every missing component/component family yet but this a large majority of them.

Long story short, we succeeded! Windows has updated to 10, but there's a catch. Those error lines from setupact.log about user profile were the reason why it failed on migration phase. I deleted user profile that had the same profile name as my default, but with _old suffix to it at the end. WARNING!!! It deleted my actual user profile with all the data in it, but since everything was backed up, because I was prepared for the worst case scenario it didn't matter to me. After realizing that, I tried to update Windows anyway with corrupted user profile and it worked out! Windows 10 fixed profile it self, but there was no user data. Why I wanted to update so hard, was because I had software with license key that I didn't want to lose. That was the first thing that I checked and it works perfectly. I'm really thankful to You @xBlueRobot, without Your help I probably would've just clean installed system. Thank You and whole Sysnative community for doing this amazing job, You guys are saints.
