Hi All,

I am newbie here. Nice to meet you all. I have followed the "Windows Update Forum Posting Instructions" to test my PC. Please find the result below. Thanks a lot for anyone can help.

OS: Windows 7 SP1 (x64) Build 6.1.7601

!!! WARNING !!! The following fix is only relevant for this system and no other, applying this fix on another computer will not work and most likely will cause problems...
  • Download SFCFix.exe (by Niemiro) and save it to the Desktop
  • Download the file SFCFIX.ZIP, attached below, and save this to your Desktop
  • On your Desktop, make sure you have the two files:

    SFCFix.exe and
    sfpcJCen14An3ndjNGCI7mByhjHJud.png
    SFCFIX.zip
  • Drag the file SFCFIX.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it

Hi,

Lets see if the system is not reporting any more problems before trying the install.

System Update Readiness Tool (SUR)
  • Download the System Update Readiness Tool (x64) and save it to some place, its a big download and eventually we need to run it several times, please keep the file
  • Run the tool. Its like an Update but it can take a long time to do the work. You will get an Installation Complete screen when it's done running
  • Please attach to your post the log from the following location: C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log
    Note:     If the file is too big please Zip it and upload the ZIP file to a service like Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive or upload to SendSpace and just provide the link for the file here.

Sorry for late. Please find the CheckSUR.log attached. I have tried update after the fix. It's still failed.

I deep dig to the cbs.log. I have delete the old cbs and force it to make a new to minimize the size to troubleshoot. I have find the below.

I have run the SFCFix script and the result shown as below. I rebooted the PC after run the script and try to install KB4534310 by running the windows6.1-kb4534310-x64_4dc78a6eeb14e2eac1ede7381f4a93658c8e2cdc.msi. With no luck it still failed. Please find the CBS.log attached. Thank you very much!

I have find the jscript9.dll.mui file and confirmed it exist in the winsxs folder

Please provide the following files:

Retrieve the Components Hive
  1. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file
  2. Please copy the COMPONENTS file to your desktop
    Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again
  3. Right-click on this file on your Desktop and select Send To...Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your Desktop
  4. If file will is too large to upload to the forum please share the file using a service like Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, or upload to www.sendspace.com and just provide the link for the file here


Export Registry Hive (CBS)
  • download the script ExportCBSRegistry2.cmd and save it to the Desktop
  • right-click the file ExportCBSRegistry2.cmd and select Run as administrator
  • when the script ends a new file called SoftwareCBS.zip will be located on the Desktop
  • If the zip file is too large to upload to the forum please share the file using a service like Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, or upload to www.sendspace.com and just provide the link for the file here


Export Registry keys (SBS)
  • download the script ExportSbSRegistry.cmd and save it to the Desktop
  • right-click the file ExportSbSRegistry.cmd and select Run as administrator
  • when the script ends a new file called SoftwareSBS.zip will be located on the Desktop
  • If zip file is too large to upload to the forum please share the file using a service like Dropbox, Google Drive, etc. or upload to SendSpace and just provide the link for the file here
 
Lets try this...

Install Update using Dism
  1. Please download KB4486563 save the file to c:\windows\temp
  2. change the name of the update file to a smaller name Windows6.1-KB4486563-x64.msu
    (keep the extension .msu in the end of the file name in case its visible if not ignore that)
  3. open the Command Prompt as Administrator (Tutorial)
  4. type or Copy & Paste the following commands line by line:

    cd /d c:\windows\temp
    expand Windows6.1-KB4486563-x64.msu -f:* C:\windows\temp
    DISM.exe /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:C:\windows\temp\Windows6.1-KB4486563-x64.cab
  5. You should receive the message:
    The operation completed successfully.
    Restart Windows to complete this operation.
    Do you want to restart the computer now (Y/N)?
  6. Make sure to allow the computer to restart if prompted.

    If you receive any other message:
  7. Right-click on the Command Prompt window and click Select All, this will invert all of the colors by selecting the text, now press enter. All of this text is now copied.
  8. Paste (Ctrl+V) it into your next post please.

Note: If DISM fails please attach the CBS.log

Are you going to upgrade to Windows 10? You probably know that Microsoft no longer provides support for Windows 7, so no more security updates!
