Hello,

I've been trying to upgrade my Windows7 to Windows10 version using the MediaCreationTool.
It failed and rolled back with the following error: "0x8007001F - 0x20006 The installation was not successful. Error in Phase SAFE_OS during REPLICATE_OC."

I have tried different ways to solve this is issue without success.
I would really like to avoid a fresh install.

Will appreciate the help.

Step #2 - I ran SFC scan and response was ok (""Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations")
Step #3 - Downloaded and followed instructions but windows update failed to update two updates of the list(Razer Inc which I am not sure if it relevant, and windows malicious software removal tool x64 - v5.8s (KB890830) .
Should I deal with this first(have no idea how, tried before) or proceed to step #4?

Also windows update fails to check for updates

Thank you

I am not sure what SURT stands for.
I followed the instructions inside

Those:
  1. Download and run the appropriate package for your operations system from this link.
  2. When it asks you if you wish to install, please answer yes. Note: It could take several hours to run. Please don't cancel.
  3. You will get an Installation Complete screen when it's done running.

I ran windows update after the installation completed.

Thank you. Still can't check for updates nor update the two items from before.

"Error(s) Found:
Code 800B0109 Windows update encountered an unknown error."
Still same as before.

  1. Download the Media Creation Tool and save this to your desktop. Go ahead and run this as well. Note: Click the Download tool now button when you get to this link.
  2. Accept the License Agreement
  3. Download the ISO file to your desktop.
  4. Double-click on the ISO and then run the setup to try and upgrade your machine.

We want to get the ISO so that you don't have to keep downloading which can take hours.

I have downloaded the file to the desktop. Double clicking on it opens it with winrar
Should I extract all the contents in it and run setup.exe?

Wow! It worked! Thank you so much!
That was so helpful!
I have been trying to do it since the morning and nothing else on the web was working for me
