Failed to Update - Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit

Morning people,

I am getting multiple update errors, please see screenshots attached of updates required, and then the errors given.
(The most recent error is only a single one, however in the past I have seen up to 4 sometimes!)
I have run multiple updates and restarted, some updates get through some don't, now none are.

Have been tackling this one for a few days with no success.

Have followed the windows-update-forum-posting-instructions and run SFCFix.exe which came back with 'No corruptions were detected'

I also have my CBS zip file attached. *Please note I renamed the old CBS log file to get a fresh one the other day when I tried doing a complete disc check from boot.
I could not attach the CBS.zip as it was too big, so shared it from my google drive, see below.

CBS.zip - Google Drive

I really would appreciate some help, this is proper bugging me now!

Other things to note..
  • O/S is Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit
  • C:\ drive has 22.0 GB free of 223 GB
  • I cannot uninstall anything from Install/Uninstall windows area
  • Laptop is an old Latitude D630 that came initially with XP
  • I recently installed Malware Bytes and CCleaner.exe, but wasn't sure if Windows Updates was or wasn't working before this
  • Some updates have been getting through
  • I have no useful restore points

Thanks
Joe

Hello and welcome:

Retrieve Components Hive
1. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
2. Please copy this file to your desktop.
Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
3. Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To...Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
4. The file will likely be too large to upload here so please upload toa file sharing service and just provide the link here.

Run the Registry Editor (REGEDIT.EXE).
Locate the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control.
Modify the value RegistrySizeLimit (create it first it if it does not already exist) to reflect the desired size, in terms of bytes.
RegistrySizeLimit must have a type of REG_DWORD, and a data length of 4 bytes, or it is ignored. Set it to 0xffffffff (the maximum size allowable).
Restart for the changes in RSL to take effect.
