Oh I did in fact put the folders in the wrong place. Sorry about that! I put them in the correct place and re-ran the SURT. I then had a quick look at the log and it seemed to have fixed a bunch of problems so I tried running windows update again. I managed to install 1 out of 2 updates, but the service pack install still failed. I've copy pasted the SURT log below along with 2 screenshots of the error on my windows update:
