[SOLVED] Failed to install latest update for Windows 10 21H2 with error code 0x800F0988 again

Thanks you guys for helping me solved the issues in last month's issue, however, I've encountered similar issues in the latest update KB5026361

Given the following message from a CBS log file attached, I've identified a compromised component

Exec: Failed to pre-stage package: Package_1_for_KB5011050~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.1.8028, component identity: amd64_microsoft-windows-servicingstack-inetsrv_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.19041.1_none_eb1e3d3b06554d07, file: iissetupai.dll,  sandbox: \\?\C:\Windows\CbsTemp\31032694_1114438224\Windows10.0-KB5026361-x64.cab\, file format: 0 [HRESULT = 0x800f0988 - PSFX_E_INVALID_DELTA_COMBINATION]

I've even managed to copy the component mentioned above from a VM to the host system but still got no luck.

Grateful if you guys are able to help fix the problem.

Upload your COMPONENTS hive.

• Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
• Please copy this file to your desktop.
• Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
• Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To > Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
• If the file is too large to upload here, upload the file to www.wetransfer.com and post the link in your next reply.
