In Event Viewer, the Windows Application Log shows multiple entries for Errors 1508 and 1542 (User Profile Service). I have run DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth which reports that corruptions were successfully repaired and sfc /scannow reports no integrity violations. I created an new user profile and saved the user file from the old one. I successfully transferred all the files to the new profile except for userdat and then deleted the old user profile. However, the entries persist in the Event Log.

I am unable to identify any function that is not working as a result, but I would like to correct whatever is causing these entries. I might add that for some time I have also been getting a slow of Event 1008 Perflib errors as well.

Problem solved re Errors 1508 and 1542. In copying old_user files to the new user account, I did not delete UsrClass.dat, which was the corrupted file. I repeated the process of creating a new user account, copied old_user files correctly and deleted the old user account. The User Profile Service errors no longer appear in the Event Viewer Application Log. I still have the Perflib errors but am not particularly concerned about those.

Thank you for reporting back, glad you got it solved.
