Hello,

I am trying to do updates but when ever an update happens it fails and the system needs to rollback. The rollback takes a couple of hours. I think I've narrowed the troublesome update to KB30000850

SFCFix finds corruptions that extend the scan by 15-20 minutes and finds one thing but then doesn't find anything.

The log mentions CNBJ2530.DPB errors that were not actually fixed so I followed the instructions on this page without any luck CNBJ2530.DPB and prncacla.inf Corruptions - Windows 8/8.1

Any help will be awesome.

System File Checker (SFC)
Follow the instructions below to run a SFC scan on your system and to provide the CBS log in your next reply;
  • On Windows Vista & 7, click on the Windows Start Menu, then enter cmd in the search box, right-click on the cmd icon and select
    Spcusrh.png
    Run as Administrator
  • On Windows 8, drag your cursor in the bottom-left corner, and right-click on the metro menu preview, then select Command Prompt (Admin);
  • On Windows 8.1, right click on the Windows logo in the bottom-left corner and select Command Prompt (Admin);
  • Enter the command below and press on Enter;
    Code:
    sfc /scannow
    Note: There's a space between "sfc" and "/scannow";
  • Once the scan is complete, enter the command below and press on Enter
    Code:
    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
  • A file called cbs.txt will have appeared on your Desktop. Upload the file on Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive and post the download URL for it here;
Note: Please note that the CBS.log is volatile, which means that if you don't upload it after the SFC scan is completed, it won't have the information from the scan anymore. So archive it and upload it as soon as you can.

Wait before installing updates, we're not done checking things yet :) The replacement was accepted, now let's see if DISM have anything to report before we move on.

Alright, DISM returned a clean set of logs. Now, which updates (KB) are you trying to install?

There are a couple that are failing.
KB3097966
KB3109103
KB3080446
KB3082089
KB3088195
KB3109094
KB3097966

The update KB30000850 status is Pending restart. This one updates, fails then rolls back.

Follow the instructions below please.
