Hello,

First thank you for taking the time to try and help me. I think I might have met my match with a malware that is not allowing me to complete downloads. I have tried to revert to a previous backup and restore, with errors not allowing me to continue to use the wizard. It wont even allow me to complete a backup or restore. I tried to update to windows 10 using the the mediacreationtool.exe by microsoft. When i finally thought that i had it downloaded and i found away around the errors i get the error code: 0x8009000F - 0x90002. Even if i try to instead of update now and try to save it to a usb (while using the infected computer to download) i get this error. Also I seem to have lost admin privileges to copy the CBS log file that is needed. I saved the log from the SFCFix scan. see attached, hope i can get help to if anything start over. I have an ASUS ux21e running intel i7 4gb ram on 64bit Windows 7.View attachment SFCFix.txt

Hi jason :)

Are you trying to download the Windows 10 .iso and it gives you this error code? Or do you get it during the upgrade process?

Is it possible for you to download the Windows 10 .iso you need on another computer, and create the installation USB from there?

Let me know how it goes :)

So I have tried a few times and I keep getting the same error code: 0x8009000F - 0x90002. I might be because it is a work laptop.

Is it provided to you by your company/IT department? If so, they might have special policies in place on the system preventing it from being upgraded without their authorization.

So you're basically not able to download the Windows 10 .iso via the Media Creation Tool using both computers? This is weird indeed. Running the same version of Windows on both?

jason confirmed via PM that downloading Windows 10 from another source and installing it worked. Issue solved :)
