Error Code - 0x80070002 - cannot update and Windows Diagnostics does not work.

Hi There. I have been trying to fix this problem for weeks now. I ran SFCFIX and have my log read. Please let me know how to post it correctly.

SFCFix has done a really good job at repairing the majority. Can you please re-run the SURT and post a new CheckSur.log?

There is still a lot of corruptions. I am going to try and see if there is a way to automatically create a script to repair these errors, if not you will be looking at a repair install.
 
I have generated the fix, if this works I try and repair the other files as well, this is just the large chunk of Registry files that need to be removed.

SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
  2. Download SFCFixScript.txt (attached to this post), and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFixScript.txt - do not rename it.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFixScript.txt.
  5. Drag the file SFCFixScript.txt onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put [CODE][/CODE] tags around the log to break up the text.

Once completed please run SURT again and post a new CheckSur.log.
