I'm trying to update from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 but I received error 80200056. I tried following the steps here: Can not update from windows update, windows 10 TP Build 10049 - error - Microsoft Community

Both methods didn't remove the error, so I came here and followed the instructions here: https://www.sysnative.com/forums/wi...prncacla-inf-corruptions-windows-8-8-1-a.html because the SFC scan from method one in the first link couldn't repair corrupted file CNBJ2530.DPB. The SFCFix says it repaired the file but I still get the same error and the SFC scan still says the file is corrupted.

Help, please and thank you.

CBS files will follow in a sec.

Hi Stabien :)

My name is Aura and I'll be assisting you with your issue. How are you trying to upgrade to Windows 10? Using the Windows Update, or the Media Creation Tool?

Hi Aura,

I think I'm using the Windows update. Whichever comes up with the windows symbol on the taskbar.

Can you try upgrading using the Media Creation Tool?

https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software-download/windows10

Personally, what I do is that I download the Windows 10 .iso, then right-click on it and select Mount. From there, I access the drive on which the .iso is mounted and launch setup.exe. You can also use the first option of the Media Creation Tool which is Upgrade now. If it fails, let me know what error code and message you are getting.

Thanks Aura!
I used the Media Creation Tool and it worked super well. Windows 10 installed and it looks like everything is running right.

Awesome! Glad to see that the upgrade went well for you Stabien! You're welcome :)
