M MrClayPole Member Joined Dec 12, 2016 Posts 17 Dec 12, 2016 #1 When installing windows updates they install without issue but during the required reboot I get error 800736B3 and nearly all outstanding Windows updates report as Failed install. I'm running Windows 2012 R2 Standard. I've ran sfc /scannow and SFCFix.exe but both have failed to resolve the issue. I've attached a zip of CBS.log and the SFCFix.exe. Right-click on the Start button and select Command Prompt (Admin) 2. When command prompt opens, Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Right-click > Paste) the following command into it, then press Enter sfc /scannow 3. Once it finishes, copy and paste the following into the command-prompt window and press Enter. copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt" 4. Once this has completed please go to your Desktop and you will find CBS.txt => Right-click on this file and choose Send To...Compressed (zipped folder). Not sure if it's significant but all the updates that failed are all Microsoft Office updates. I've attached the WindowsUpdate.log in case that helps.
