Error 8007006E after two failed Security updates

Hi, I've had this problem for some time now. My system has been trying to upload updates (KB2883029 and KB2965282) for some weeks now without success and I get Error 8007006E. I have also had problems with my laptop with a virus, updating my Adobe programs but thankfully all now sorted. I've run SFC /SCANNOW and two corruption issues which came up were sorted by your SFCfix (thanks). I really just want to know what the error message means and possible reasons why these two updates won't load. Other updates have been taking place without any problems. Appreciate any help or information.

Is this a Windows 7 or Windows 8 computer?

Download and run System Update Readiness Tool (SURT)

  • Please go Here and download the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT). Save this file to your desktop
  • Go to your desktop and run KB947821
  • When the SURT finishes installing, copy (Ctrl + C) and paste (Ctrl + V) the contents of the SURT log into your next post please:
    C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log
    C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log
