Hi, I have a problem when I try to install Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1, always show me the error 80070002, I search for solutions but nothing helps to me.

The sfc /scannow show me the errors in sfcdetails.txt

If I try to do a DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth , the command return the error:87 scanhealth doesn't recognize.

I try the SFCFix and the result is:

Can anyone help me? A lot of people says to do a online upgrade with dvd, is possible to do something before this?

Thanks a lot.

Hello and welcome to the forum

Can you please upload the full CBS folder? it looks like SURT has detected some errors that I would also like to look at :)

Export CBS folder

  1. Click the Start button
    StartButton_16x16.gif
    then click Computer.
  2. Double-click on the C: drive, under the Hard Disk Drives category, and then scroll down to, and double click on the Windows folder.
  3. Find and double click on the Logs folder.
  4. Right-click on the CBS folder, and select Copy.
  5. Go back to your Desktop, right-click on it, and select Paste. You should now see a copy of the CBS folder appear on your Desktop called CBS.
  6. Right-click on this new folder, and navigate through Send to, and select Compressed (zipped) folder.
  7. A new file, also called CBS (CBS.zip), but this time with a different icon, will be created.
  8. Attach this to your next post please.
Please Note:: if the file is too big to upload to you next post please upload via Dropbox or One Drive

Thanks Stephen, that is the largest CBS log I have seen.

Hi tanqueatun,

Do you have the following files? if so can you please upload them.
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log

Yes, I don't know why but the log grow up a lot. I just deleted two days ago, and the log grow up so quickly.

I upload checksur and checksur.persist logs.

Thanks.

Thank you.

SFCFix repaired a lot of the corruptions that were found from SFC and SURT, which is a good start. First we are going to focus on these corrupt files then we will do some fresh scans with SURt and SFC and see what is left to clean up.

I have the files to be repaired for the first two, just trying to locate the last four. in order to get these files I may need to set up a VM for 2008 R2.
CORRUPT: C:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-ie-pdm_31bf3856ad364e35_9.4.8112.16421_none_621428eebb2fac97\PDMSetup.exe

Thank you again for your answer.
I have another installation with 2008 R2, can I just copy this files from this server??

Thank you so much again!!! :)

I don't found these files at the other server:

CORRUPT: C:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-wwfcorecomp.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_es-es_1723a38d3b60dcd1\SqlPersistenceService_Logic.sql

But I found the other two

CORRUPT: C:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-ie-pdm_31bf3856ad364e35_9.4.8112.16421_none_621428eebb2fac97\PDMSetup.exe

I have still had no luck trying to find these files, I might see if I can do a manual trace through the registry.

SFCFix Collect COMPONENTS
  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
  2. Download SFCFixScript.txt, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFixScript.txt - do not rename it.
  3. On your Desktop, you should now see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFixScript.txt.
  4. Drag the file SFCFixScript.txt onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  5. SFCFix will now begin to upload your CBS logfiles to our server.
  6. Upon completion, a log should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  7. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this into your next post for me to analyse please - put

tags around the log to break up the text.

If all goes well, you should see that your logfiles have now been added to your thread.

Lets try a trace using SFCFix, if this doesn't work I may have to see if there is a way of using one of the other files.
