Hi there!
I recently reformatted my drives and reinstalled windows combined with buying a new graphics card. However pretty soon after my computer started crashing, most often with BSOD "system encountered an uncorrectable hardware error...", when playing games. (hearthstone, crysis and witcher 3). The crash usually happens after a little while playing, however it can be 5 minutes or 4 hours of playtime before the crash. I've manged to play for more than 5 hours without a crash however in 9/10 cases the blue screen does appear when playing. I've tried really hard to find a solution but now realize that I need help from someone with knowledge.
Edit: I've also used the program "bluescreen view" to find out what is causing the crashes. And it said something about "hal.dll + 12a3b" being the address causing the crashes, which did not make me any wiser but might be helpful for you.

My specs are:
Windows 7 professional
Nvidia Geforce gtx 970 Strix
Asus p9x79 (motherboard)
ocz Technology 650W zs series power supply
Intel Core i7 3820
4x4Gb RAM

I've build the system myself with a friend. It is a desktop computer.

I'd be really happy and would appreciate help a lot! And please let me now if there is anything else you need to know or want to help me :)

Is your graphics card still under warranty? If so, I would RMA it.
Given that the crashes started soon after installing it.

Thanks for the help!
So it is the Graphics card that's causing the crashes? I've had some trouble back and fourth before I installed the new graphics card as well. I think It's still under warranty though since I bought it a month or so ago. So I'll RMA it if you think that's the best way to go?

It could be a failing CPU, in fact that's the component I would have leaned towards more, but given that you say the problems started after installing the grpahics card, that would be the best option.

I've had some trouble back and fourth before I installed the new graphics card as well

Could you expand on this? What type of trouble?

About a couple of months ago I handed in my computer to some people who ran diagnostics and such on it and concluded that one RAM slot on the motherboard was broken and therefore my computer crashed with the same BSOD randomly when I played games. They fixed it by placing that RAM in a different slot though. Therefore I reckoned that it might be some similar problem now or maybe some problems related to the motherboard since it was the villain last time. However that was just my uneducated guess.

That's not fixing the problem.
You could run memtest86+ to see if the RAM slot is bad or not, if it is, then you've got a bad motherboard.

I ran it for about 30-40 minutes yesterday but nothing showed up. Do I need to run it longer? and if something is wrong with the motherboard do I need to replace it? :O

My apologies, you need to run it for at least 8 passes, which varies in time depending on how much RAM you have.

Yes, if the motherboard is failing, it will need replacing.

It tests forever, just stop it after 8 passes, if no errors come up, then you're fine.
If they do, then you can change the slots the RAM sticks are in and test it again to see if the stick(s) is faulty or if the motherboard is faulty.
