Hello, I have a problem with BSOD while playing games or browsing a web. I had this same problem before and listed here, but solution wasn´t permanent. So I installed Windows 8 RP becouse I wanted to test it, but many apps weren´t compatible so I returned back to Win 7 Ultimate. But in Win 8 I had no problems with BSOD. Anyway, I installed Win 7 and some programms and games but following day I got BSOD. So i unninstalled Daemon Tools, changed sptd.sys to .old and problem was solved until today. While playing game I just got freeze and BSOD DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL . I just said, that maybe won´t happen again, but for my surprise after20 mins ANOTHER BSOD. So sptd.old didn´t helped. Any other ideas?

Hi,

The attached dumps are all of the D1: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL bugcheck with the fault OAfilt.sys (Creative WDM Audio Driver; 32-bit). Make sure your Creative drivers are up to date, especially if you're using a sound card.

As far as sptd.sys goes, it's not listed so renaming it to .old broke its functionality and prevented it from loading, however the removal tool is once again available, so go ahead and remove sptd.sys from your system:

So I done sptd but When I tried updating Creative driver through AutoUpdater it says that 2.02.02 is available but after installation and restart it says again that 2.02.02 is ava. So i was searching for manual install an I found this thread http://forums.creative.com/showthread.php?t=573249 where people says DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL is becouse of creative co. itself. Even updating didn´t helped them. They propably made a mistake in their driver compability in win 7. sptd.sys might not be trouble one. So shall I unplug my USB Audio and uninstall creative or there is another solution? Thanks for help.
