· OS - Windows 8.1, 8, 7, Vista ? Windows 8.1
· x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? x64
· What was original installed OS on system? Windows 8
· Is the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system) or full retail version (YOU purchased it from retailer)? OEM
· Age of system (hardware) About a month new mobo, psu the rest is about 7-8 months old (ram.cpu.gpu)
· Age of OS installation - have you re-installed the OS? I re-installed windows 8 a month ago but i upgraded to win 8.1 last week
· CPU - Intel Core i5 3570 @ 3.40GHz
· Video Card - Intel HD Graphics (ASRock)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (EVGA)
· MotherBoard -ASRock Z77 Extreme4
· Power Supply - EVGA super nova 650 watts

· System Manufacturer -bought it from Ibuypower
· Exact model number : dunno but i upgraded a few parts a while ago since the mobo it came with died on me

· Laptop or Desktop? desktop

unfortunately the perfmon report did not work access denied

it happened right after i let avast update firefox since it has a function that updates things like that right after i click on google chrome and it crashed... it restarted fine looked into my event viewer and a bunch of errors were there
after that i did the sfc/scannow and it found corrupt files but were not repaired, after i ran the
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restore and it supposedly fixed it , ran sfc/scannow shortly after and no errors where found so idk if everything its ok now but i rather have this bsod look at. my gut feeling is telling me 2 things, the gpu or mobo are failing me but i hope this is not the case haha

Hi,

DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION (133)

This bug check indicates that the DPC watchdog executed, either because it detected a single long-running deferred procedure call (DPC), or because the system spent a prolonged time at an interrupt request level (IRQL) of DISPATCH_LEVEL or above.

Something is causing a deadlock, and it's likely not actually the nVidia driver whatsoever and that was just caught in the stack at the time of the crash.

1. Uninstall ASRock App Charger ASAP + any other/all AsRock bloatware (it's all unnecessary).

2. You have two security solutions running at once (AVG and avast!). This is bad, as most/if not all modern day antivirus suites are allowed direct access (come and go, whenever they want) to the kernel because an antivirus installs interceptors of system events within the kernel code, which passes intercepted data to the antivirus engine for analysis. This data is network packets, files, and other various critical data. You can imagine what sort of problems can occur if two programs are trying to do this at the same time.

Remove and replace avast! and AVG with Windows 8's built-in Windows Defender for temporary troubleshooting purposes as it's likely causing conflicts:

avast! removal - avast! Uninstall Utility | Download aswClear for avast! Removal

AVG removal - http://www.avg.com/us-en/utilities

Windows Defender (how to turn on after removal) - Windows Defender - Turn On or Off in Windows 8

3. Navigate to services.msc and disable the nVidia Streaming Service, and then restart.

Regards,

Patrick

hmm i uninstalled avg long ago i guess it still has something lingering in the registry, i used the link given and i guess it it completely uninstalled it now and will do the rest right now

uninstalled all of that and disabled the nvidia streaming service but the only thing that still bugs me is that my Explorer.exe crashes(no bsod) usually the icon from the nvidia ge force experience disappears and it gives me this(error from the event viewer at the bottom ) but i don't know if this would be the correct place to post about it

Explorer crashing can be attributed to just about anything. Given you mentioned the icon from the nVidia control panel disappearing before it happens, I'd a full uninstall of your nVidia drivers, and then a reinstall of the latest version.

Uninstall Graphics Drivers

Patrick

i did a full uninstall of the nvidia driver, and installed the newest driver the Explorer.exe still crashed today
same error

ran the system file checker or sfc/scannow but it came up with Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. But what i see its that every time this crash happens the Nvidia GE force icon disappears which could be a bad driver from the suggestion in the last post but this time its a fresh driver installation (although there is a driver that came out today but ppl suggested not to update to just yet since there's been a lot of complaints and ppl are having issues with it) and this happens when i open up League of legends without admin rights, could it t the game itself is crashing the explorer.exe and the devrtl.dll appears to be the last module loaded before the crash happens? after the icon is gone the explorer.exe doesn't crash since the nvidia icon is gone

well heres the cbs file after i ran the sfc/scannow if that's of any help .... sorry this its taking forever its just one thing after another with this computer since im very meticulous and everytime i look at the event viewer and an error pops up i try to find a solution but i guess i will never see that event viewer without any warnings /errors heh

I'm seeing a fair bit of:

Code:
Failed to internally open package. [HRESULT = 0x800f0805 - CBS_E_INVALID_PACKAGE]

and a lot of other interesting things.

Given your BSOD issue itself is solved, you may need to head over to our CBS/Windows Update forum here to have the experts assist you. My expertise is BSOD's and Windows Internals, not too much in the realm of .CBS logs when they need to go in-depth.

Regards,

Patrick

ah ok, well thank you for all you help Patrick really appreciated. i will be heading to that section of the forum

I am testing Windows 10 Technical Preview build 10041. Got the same error on one of the Windows updates. Found out it is related to the Laptop Touchpad. I connected an external mouse, removed the driver, restarted and installed the original OEM driver (for me an HP driver). Seems this is going on for a couple of years and for other makes and models of computers.
