DPC Latency Issues Windows 8.1 (mostly with storport.sys and network drivers)

Hello, I recently built a new pc (less than a week ago). I just started experiencing distortion with my sound and video randomly. It only lasts for around half a second but it's still annoying to be bothered by that mid-game, or mid-video. I ran LatencyMon and xperf(not sure how xperf works). LatencyMon Shows that stortport.sys and bcww8x64.sys apparently love to have random latency spikes up to 999,999 at one point. As of now after a lot of researching and trying to fix, the worst it has spiked to is 2,000 in the past hour. Please if anyone can help Please help I love my new pc but it's hard to enjoy to the fullest with these issues :'(.

I would uninstall avast and see if that makes any difference. If it doesn't, I would then try removing / closing any monitoring tools you have open to see if they are the cause

ok what do u mean by monitoring tools but i will try uninstalling avast

i uninstalled avast and installed comodo so far so good

I'm glad! It seems like you had the exact same issue as me!
