Hey guys

Been trying to debug it myself but i'm not getting anywhere it seems. I dont have this issue constantly and restarting my PC 'fixes' it but that doesnt seem to way to solve this to me. I'd rather be able to find the cause and once and for all remove the problem. I'll first provide you the info that is required.

  • System Manufacturer? ASUS
  • Laptop or Desktop? LAPTOP
  • Exact model number (if laptop, check label on bottom) N550JK-CN357H-BE
  • OS ? (Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista) Windows 10 Home
  • x86 (32bit) or x64 (64bit)? 64 Bit
  • Service pack? Update 1803 most recent one
  • What was original installed OS on system? Not sure but If it wasnt windows 10 when I bought it I surely updated it as soon as I got it
  • Is the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system) or full retail version (YOU purchased it from retailer)? checked, Retail
  • Age of system? (hardware) I had this system for 3 years now but it was 2nd hand but it was in a quite new state, everything except the hard drive is original.
  • Age of OS installation? about 1 year, reinstalled OS onto my new drive.
  • Have you re-installed the OS? ^
  • CPU? Intel i7 4710HQ
  • RAM (brand, EXACT model, what slots are you using?) 16GB Dual Channel DDR3 not sure which brand the stock one is
  • Video Card? Nvidia Geforce 850M and Intel HD Graphics 4600
  • Is driver verifier enabled or disabled? disabled
  • What security software are you using? (Firewall, antivirus, antimalware, antispyware, and so forth) Bought Antimalwarebytes
  • Are you using proxy, vpn, ipfilters or similar software? nope
  • Are you using Disk Image tools? (like daemon tools, alcohol 52% or 120%, virtual CloneDrive, roxio software) I do have Virtual CloneDrive installed but rarely use it, its also disabled to start at boot
  • Are you currently under/overclocking? Are there overclocking software installed on your system? I have MSI Afterburner installed but dont use it for any clocking adjustments

What I've tried so far
I started using Resource Monitor recently to check when I have a problem where I noticed something called System Interrupts, I've then found LatencyMon and DPC Latency Checker.
They obviously show errors with my driver(s).

I ran LatencyMon for about 10-15 min 3 times, yesterday when I had the issue. Yesterday after reboot when the issue was gone to compare the two and one now when Im having the issue again. I'll post the screenshots here and leave the result txt's in a seperate zip

First time (not the first time it happened, first time I recorded it and had the problem)

Second time after reboot

3th time just now with the issue again

If anything else is required just ask, im quite new on the topic of DPC troubleshooting but I'm all ears.

Kind Regards
Billy

Hi bmijnendonckx. :welcome:

Run the following (unique) command from an elevated command prompt, reboot the machine, then post the result of the Netsh-reset.txt (that should appear) on the desktop (or upload it here):
Warning
If you have set a static IP in internet protocol version 4 (tcp/ipV4) properties of your ethernet/wireless network adapter, you'll have to set it anew, after the reboot.

(echo: && netsh interface ipv4 reset && echo: && echo: && netsh interface ipv6 reset && echo: && echo: && netsh interface tcp reset && echo: && echo: && netsh interface httpstunnel reset && echo: && echo: && netsh interface portproxy reset && echo: && echo: && netsh winsock reset && echo: && echo: && netsh winhttp reset proxy) > "%userprofile%\desktop\Netsh-reset.txt"

Still occurs, got a BSOD today driver power state failure. What I noticed is that Intel RST has >5000 ms also storport but I am guessing that's related to RST. Seems to be something with storage. I don't see Intel's RST installed as software
