S shabs New member Joined Nov 18, 2012 Posts 3 Nov 18, 2012 #1 hey there, in the last few days ive begun recieving blue screens and after looking and posting on several forums with no permanent solution ive turned here. the cause (i'm pretty sure) is something to do with my display (graphics card or something?) drivers. in control pannel, display, settings, advanced settings, the fields are all blanked or greyed out and say 'unavailable' under 'adapter'. i have reinstalled windows 7 i have installed and updated nvidia geforce 8300 drivers. currently using a dell inspiron 530 initially installed with vista. think im 32bit. intel core 2 duo. i cannot complete the start perfmon /report step because i receive errors in doing so. each time the pc reboots the display is pixelated or blackened out. i can barely read anything. thought i fixed the problem about an hour ago after installing some 300mb nvidia files everything was perfect then it started all over again. i cant even read anything on my pc... everything else seems fine though but the fact that this driver keeps getting unistalld i think it might be a virus etc. the reason i think its unistalled is because under those same headings in control pannel i mentioned above, they go from black to nvdia ge force etc back to being black or unavaialable again after a bsod/black screen heres even more information. crashing more now, a dialogue box says this sometimes: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1 Locale ID: 3081 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: 116 BCP1: 85D42008 BCP2: 8CCF7240 BCP3: 00000000 BCP4: 00000002 OS Version: 6_1_7601 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 256_1 Files that help describe the problem: C:\Windows\Minidump\111712-28298-01.dmp C:\Users\Sachin\AppData\Local\temp\WER-55099-0.sysdata.xml Read our privacy statement online: Windows 7 Privacy Statement - Microsoft Windows If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt also, troubleshooting video_tdr did nothing. fml no wires/ hardware etc are loose etc. im convinced its a software virus problem but reisnatlling windows 7 did nothing ..? sorry please and thankyou. Pennsylvania Nov 18, 2012 #2 Sounds like a failing video card, the 530 have Intel integrated video along with any optional add in cards you could try removing the Nvida card and use the Intel port to hook the monitor up to and see if the problem clears up. If it does the card is failing.

Click to expand... thank you for getting back to me so quick, problem is i have no idea what youre talking about. i wouldnt know where to start. if i just bought a new graphics card and got it installed by the supplier would that be a surefire fix?

Pennsylvania Nov 18, 2012 #4 Removing it as test first would be the best choice, what do currently use the PC for? Perhaps the Intel video is all you actually need if not gaming on it.
