I started having issues with DISM commands roughly about a month ago. I figured it was Windows being Windows, so I started using my spare laptop. Now my spare laptop is having the same issues with DISM.
The problem: When I try to run DISM commands such as "DISM /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup" or "DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth", it would either not load or takes a very long time for the progress bar to show up. For example, I ran this command about 15 minutes ago and it sits at the Image Version, with no progress or text underneath it.
PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
Version: 10.0.22621.1
Image Version: 10.0.22621.2506
I also saw the following error in the CBS logs " Failed to get visibility for package: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-LA57-FoD-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.22621.1 [HRESULT = 0x80070490 - ERROR_NOT_FOUND]". I tried to add that capability via DISM this morning but it froze at 60% for about an hour.
Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this issue? Attached is the DISM and CBS logs.
