Hi!

I'm trying to activate Hyper-V on my machine and am discovering that I have some issues, so I ran the DISM sequence, with a failure on /restorehealth

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
Version: 10.0.14393.4169

Image Version: 10.0.14393.4169

[==========================100.0%==========================]
Error: 1734

- I have used Farbar to scan for the KB5022289 and KB5034119 that I found as problematic in CBS. Actually, I've only scanned KB022289, which appears in a lot of places in the registry.

At this point, my reflex would be to remove all traces of KB5022289 and KB5034119, but I have been unable to create a "fixlist.txt" that actually works. I get "Error: No automatic fix found for this entry".

I've seen people here much more knowlegeable than me help fix similar issues, and hope someone is willing to help...

Thanks!

Frank

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

but I have been unable to create a "fixlist.txt" that actually works. I get "Error: No automatic fix found for this entry".

Please provide the CBS logs, see also this thread about the risks of creating a fixlist yourself.

Upload a copy of the CBS folder
  • Open Windows Explorer and browse to the C:\Windows\Logs folder.
  • Right-click on the CBS folder and choose Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.
  • Now the message will appear, "Windows cannot create the Compressed (zipped) Folder here. Do you want it to be placed on the desktop instead?"
  • Click on the Yes button here.

  • Attach the file CBS.zip to your next reply. If the file is too large to attach, upload the CBS.zip file to www.wetransfer.com and post the link in your next reply.

Hello Maxstar,

Here's the CBS file.

I had not seen the other thread, and feel lucky I failed.. The software once told me "you don't seem to know what your doing, exiting" (or something of the likes) - seems I not have insisted!!

Thanks you for your help
Frank

Hi,

Step 1. Please provide the previous logs of FRST to look at.
1. Open the folder: C:\FRST\Logs, ZIP all the files inside this folder and attach it as FRST-Logs.zip.

Step 2. Download

SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 3. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Following your previous success, I was quite optimistic I would be able to enable Hyper-V on this machine: it was not the case unfortunately.

I'll share here what I'm running into:

PS C:\Windows\system32> Install-WindowsFeature -Name Hyper-V -IncludeManagementTools
Install-WindowsFeature : The request to add or remove features on the specified server failed.
Installation of one or more roles, role services, or features failed.
The referenced assembly could not be found. Error: 0x80073701

owsFeatureCommand

I found out about the "updates" situation through this message I got yesterday. I was hoping that running the fix provided would get me passed this messages (Failed _To_Enable_Updates).

If you know anything about this situation, let me know.

Thank you,

Frank
