Hello Guys,

After installing august 2022 updates on this domain controller server 2019, i couldn't install a new Windows server role because of a corrupted store i think. I tried to SFC and Dism health repair and searched the forum here but couldn't find a solution.

sfc /scannow -> Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
Dism /RestoreHealth -> 96.0% Error: 0x800f0954, DISM failed. No operation was performed.

Kindly find the CBS.log, dism.log and CBS.zip attached.

Could you please help fixing this? Thanks a lot in advance.

Kindly note, I read the CBS.log and read the error of missing files so i downloaded these two updates files KB5007206 and KB5016623 and then ran the following cmd's

Dism /online /add-package /packagepath:c:\temp\cab\Windows10.0-KB5007206-x64.cab
Dism /online /add-package /packagepath:c:\temp\cab\Windows10.0-KB5016623-x64.cab

This solved the problem and i was able to install the server role Certification Authority, However the store is still corrupted.

Hi,

Please post the latest CBS logs.
  • Open Windows Explorer and browse to the C:\Windows\Logs folder.
  • Right-click on the CBS folder and choose Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.
  • Now the message will appear, "Windows cannot create the Compressed (zipped) Folder here. Do you want it to be placed on the desktop instead?"
  • Click on the Yes button here.

Good morning,

Is the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool safe? Some antivirus app see it as a malware / trojan...

Good morning,

Yes FRST is safe to use, some security programs will flag it as malicious because the tool is not digitally signed.

Oke thanks. I did the last steps, FRST is already running for more than half an hour right now so i'm waiting for it. It think it's not working good.

Please wait, searching the registry can take some time to complete.

Thank you. It's already running since your last comment..... in progress...

Kindly find the fixlog.txt inside fixlog.zip as the fixlog.txt (32 MB) was too big to be uploaded.
