[SOLVED] Dism.exe shows corrupt Manifests-file

Hello,

I am repairing my father-in-law's PC right now and it seems as if a couple of Manifest-files somehow got overwritten with NUL-values.
Since I had another PC at hand, I was able to restore 15/17 files, but the last two files weren't located on the second PC...

...unnecessary to say that neither SFC.exe, nor DISM.exe nor Windows Update could find/replace/repair those files... :-(

...maybe someone can help me out with this? :-)

The two files are:
WinSxS\Manifests\amd64_47ed966b2c72e0f7bd0883eb9b9ee528_b03f5f7f11d50a3a_4.0.15805.360_none_7a938b305e6f080f.manifest
WinSxS\Manifests\wow64_system.drawing_b03f5f7f11d50a3a_4.0.15805.360_none_0c32d0c3584eb15c.manifest

Kind regards,
Chris

P.S.: Just deleting those two manifest files (as they weren't on the 2nd PC) helped with the wow64-file, but dism.exe insists on the amd64 one to be present.

Hello and welcome,

Copy the file C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\cbs.log to your desktop.
Zip the copied file and attach the zipped cbs.log to your next reply.

Attached are my logfiles of the following two commands:
sfc.exe /scannow
dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

In the third attached ZIP-file are the two damaged files.

I don't know why, but the manifest-files have the same size as their working versions, but they consist solely of nul-values.
...strangely the wow64_system.drawing_b03f5f7f11d50a3a_4.0.15805.360_none_0c32d0c3584eb15c.manifest isn't being listed in the logfile anymore (it has been before this afternoon). Nevertheless it still contains just junk.
