Hey all, recently had some blue screening issues. After troubleshooting I discovered one of my memory sticks was bad and it has since been replaced. Seems that the damage had already been done though and my system has been unstable and experiencing weird issues since. Stuff like certain shortcuts for programs not working, gotta go to the root folder where the .exe is to start it. Also my clipboard history won't pop up anymore when using win+v. Anyway, it seems to me I've had some registry corruption. Didn't have any system restore points or backups of registry so here I am.
I've read around here and seen some other threads similar to my issue so I've already got some of the logs/files that were requested in those threads. Not sure if they will all be needed but figured I'd provide them right off the bat. Hopefully mediafire is okay here, the zip was too big to attach otherwise.
I was originally not able to use sfc /scannow or dism commands. I was able to get my sfc working by removing and replacing the PATH environment variable, but DISM still doesn't work. I'm getting error 582 when trying to run the command to restore image health using online image and getting error 2 whenever i run a command which references my local image.
Also seem to be unable to use the chkdsk command. I used it and upon reboot I get a message stating "To skip disk check press any key" and a countdown. The countdown ends and then it shows a loading wheel, then another countdown starts, then it goes straight to windows login screen upon that countdown finishing. Whole thing takes less than 30 sec, definitely not enough time for it to run. I know there are errors to fix as well because it tells me as much when I run the disk error checker from my C: drive properties window.
