Disk Cleanup Tool closes unexpectedly

Hello, I am using W7SP1, and as I am running out of disk space, I decided to run Windows Disk Cleanup Tool.
I can save up to 6,6 GB (Windows Update Cleanup).
I get the confirmation message, I click to confirm and it begins to clean files.
But in a minute or so, the program closes unexpectedly. No error or message.
I tried to check different options, even without selecting the Windows Update Cleanup, and the same thing happens.
No errors or Warnings on the Event Viewer and I have no idea of anything else I can do to solve this problem.
Let me know if you need any more info.

Do you have CCleaner installed? It is another cleaning utility that offers you a number of options for what you want to clean. You can download it for free from the following link:

I would also recommend JRT (Junkware Removal Tool) and AdwCleaner. Both are free cleaning utilities as well.

I have Auslogics BoostSpeed 9, but it does not have the option to clean up Windows Update files.
I will try running CCleaner and the others and I will tell you if I get to recover some disk space.

Since I cannot edit my post, an update:

JRT just deleted some IE temp files and the like.
AdwCleaner only show for deletion AceStream and Auslogics. What the...?!
And CCleaner -at least the free version- does not have an option to cleanup Windows Update files.
What can I do next?

You can try Wise care 365 portable (click) or Wise disk cleaner portable (click).

You can create a system restore point (those two programs allow to create one directly from them).
And you can also create a backup of your system with aomei backupper standard/free (click).
Because something bad can always happen.
