Hello, I am having issues of where my CTRL shortcut keys don't seem to be working. I can not copy, paste, or undo with the keys because the CTRL seems to not work at all, and I mean both of them.

Help is appreciated, thanks!

Hi Xen,

Not to sound patronising but have you tried rebooting the computer? That can fix things like this.

Have you tried a different keyboard?

Lol. Yes, it has been rebooted dozens of times since I've had this issue.

It works on another keyboard, but unfortunately I am on a laptop and using another keyboard would be kind of weird.

EDIT: I dunno if it's any different on Windows 8, but I can access the Task Manager via CTRL - SHIFT - ESC. So I guess the keys still work?

I've been recently handed down the very laptop which was having this ctrl+c, v, z, etc shortcut button issue, so I am back to having this issue. I've tried to see if there was an update to the keyboard driver, but none are present. The device manager states that this keyboard is a PS/2 Keyboard on this laptop. I'd rip out my hair if I had much to rip out. lol

Also, I do NOT have Ease of Access Sticky Keys enabled.
