Hey there!

We've been having some issues with random crashes of this server and started looking into SFC and DISK scans/repairs.

DISM CBS.log outputs indicate CSI payload corruptions.

Originally there were more corruptions but we manged to deal with the amd64_mscorlib* & amd64_microsoft-windows* corruptions by assessing the way you have dealt with these types of corruption (using another clean uncorrupted server we have) in the hopes to avoid taking up your time, but alas, here we are and the amd64_netfx4* corruptions have got the better of us.

Additionally, during our use of the SFCFix tool, it seems to have got in to a bit of a pickle and now states "SFCFix version 3.0.2.1 by niemiro has encountered an unhandled exception."

Nevertheless, please if you wouldn't mind, reviewing the attached CBS and dism logs to hopefully provide some guidance and a way out of this rabbit hole I have found myself in.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

Step 1. Download
56f31e53c97da-SFCFix.PNG
SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Update: In the previous fix I've used replacement files from my VM which were compressed, here is the new fix with the uncompressed (expected) files.

Step 1.

Looking much more promising!

Now to try and work out why my attempt at these didn't work.

Hi,

Could you please attach the SFCFix.txt file as well.
I could have sworn I attached the SFCFix.txt as well. I just tried with my latest reply. I don't think it like all the special char in the default file name (i.e. the DTS 'SFCFix (2022-09-12 15'04'21.231).zip')

Attempting without DTS in ZIP file name...

The logs looks good, so if everything is work fin now, we can mark this thread as solved....
