View attachment 5818Hello,

I have some very odd problems with my computer. Today it BSOD'd for the first time in this version of OS.
I play alot of games and everytime I tab out (alt+tab) from a game my monitors go to standby mode, and the only option I have left is to force reboot the computer.
Also after saving & quitting a game my monitors go to standby mode automatically, and the same drill here -> force reboot.
Today while actually in a game I got a BSOD, haven't got that before.

My system specs:

· OS - Windows 8.1.
· x64 (64-bit).
· Original OS on this is none, computer is built from scratch.
· OS is a purchased from a retail.
· Hardware age is about 2 years max.
· I have installed Windows 8.1 the day it came out in Europe.

· CPU: Intel Core i7 2600K
· Video Card: ASUS GeForce GTX 680 DC2T-2GD5

· MotherBoard: ASUS P8P67
· Power Supply: Nexus RX-8500 (850W)
· System Manufacturer: Own built together
· Exact model number: Own built

Hi -

The bugcheck on the lone BSOD - 0x19 (0xe,,,) = corrupt pool header

NVIDIA video named probable cause -
Code:
[font=lucida console]nvlddmkm.sys       Wed Oct 23 02:21:50 2013 (52676AFE)[/font]
Have you checked for a driver update or tried roll-back?

http://sysnative.com/drivers/driver.php?id=nvlddmkm.sys

Check for a firmware update for your SSD drive -
Code:
INTEL SSDSC2BW180A3L
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18363

Are you over-clocked? From the dumps:
Code:
MaxSpeed: 3400
CurrentSpeed: 3503
Reset to default until BSODs cease.

F-Secure firewall is likely not helping you here. I suggest removal of F-Secure for now.

Use removal tool if applicable - http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN146

Re-boot upon completion.

Use Windows Defender - https://www.sysnative.com/forums/wi...ty-essentials-in-windows-7-windows-vista.html

I'm not sure why a combination of keys (alt+tab) would place your monitors in Standby mode. Do any other key combinations have any effect on the monitors?

What is the make and model number of the monitors?

Regards. . .

Hi!

Thanks for the fast reply! I have tried the two latest official NVIDIA drivers, currently using the latest one (331.65).
I flashed to the newest BIOS ROM a few days ago (BIOS 3602). I just checked the firmware version of my SSD and it said I have the latest version installed, but when I checked online for the latest version it's another one, so I doubt it's the latest.
Nothing is clocked on my system, the CPU has it's turbo feature that it does automatically.
From what I've read many have problems when exiting games or tabbing out to Windows, someone got it "working" when having a "normal" (high contrast theme), meaning something windows95 lookalike theme.
I have two exact same monitors, they are Acer G245Hs. I also have my 46" Samsung LED 3D TV connected via HDMI, the monitors are with DVI.

I don't know about F-secure, I've never ever before had any problems with it, neither has anyone else for "this kind of problem".

Kind regards,
Leon

Now that I checked my BIOS it had strangely enough gone to manual settings and my CPU was overclocked, this can't have been for long though. I changed it back to Auto.
That should eliminate at least one thing :)
