I am about to give up on this machine.

The things I have tried in order.
  1. sfc /scannow - "Windows resource protection could not perform the requested operation."
  2. dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth - "No component store corruption detected. The operation completed successfully."
  3. dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth - "Error 605. The specified buffer contains ill-formed data."
  4. dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth - "Error 605. The specified buffer contains ill-formed data."
  5. Found an online copy of Windows 10 Pro 32-bit iso (19042.867) which is the same version as the machine.
  6. dism /Online Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:esd:[path to install.wim]:1 /limitaccess - "Error 605. The specified buffer contains ill-formed data."
  7. dism /Online Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:esd:[path to install.esd]:1 /limitaccess - "Error 605. The specified buffer contains ill-formed data." (converted install.wim to install.esd)
  8. Tried updating Windows 10, installed, goes into "reverting changes" while restarting.
  9. Tried updating to 21H1, Windows 10 Update Assistant results in error code 0x80004005.
  10. Tried How to:Reset Windows update components in Windows - didn't work.
  11. Tried upgrading to 21H1 from Setup.exe in iso file, results in "The installation failed in the SAFE-OS phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATA operation."
Then found SFC Fix from Sysnative, tried running it but it found no corruptions.

Log from SFCFix:

Hello,

As you will know some of our helpers have increased workloads professionally, and this has resulted in a slower response time for Windows Update threads.

I am checking to see if you still need help with this thread. If so please respond and this will bring your thread to our attention again. Thank you for your patience.
