Hello,

I had a power outage yesterday which caused a chkdsk to be run upon booting. Corruptions were found and I assumed chkdsk fixed them. However every time I restart and log in to windows I'm told I need to restart to fix drive errors. chkdsk spends a few seconds on "Scanning and repairing Drive C" then gets me back into windows only to be greeted with the same message. I've tried running all possible commands for my SSD but this corruption does not seem be getting fixed.

Things that I've tried:

sfc/scannow - finds no integrity violation
DISM/scan+check+restore - finds no component corruption
chkdsk /f /r + chkdsk /spotfix as advised by chkdsk itself

Any help would be greatly appreciated, please find chkdsk log listed below:

Edit: Just tried running chkdsk using the notification from windows that asked me to restart to fix drive errors and it didn't initialize, just loaded me into windows like normal after restarting

Please close, issue solved.

For anyone that stumbles onto this, here's how I fixed it for me:

- disable system restore temporarily and re-register VSS components using a .bat file

- run chkdsk /scan and when it asks you to run chkdsk /spotifx go into windows settings>updates and security>recovery>advanced startup, Go into troubleshooting and select command prompt

- if you know your OS partition, type the drive letter "C:" otherwise use bcdedit | find "osdevice" to find your partition

- run chkdsk /spotfix and dismount the volume when it prompts (this cleared up my errors and allowed me to delete the corrupt folders)

- run chkdsk /scan again to verify ( I had to run chkdsk /f one more time to finally clear my SSD of all errors in the advanced startup CMD)
