Dear community,

Please, would you be able to help me with this problem? I cannot solve it already the 3rd week. The problem started with windows update and after I restarted pc I had this screen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhQ3azFhPzs. I had to renew the pc. After I installed the 165 windows updates, but these 2 I cannot, as it shows still the mentioned blue screen after I restart the pc. These 2 updates: KB3071663, KB3087390.

I contacted also microsoft and firstly they told me that the problem is that Lenovo is doing some updates, then was a problem with my Eset, but they have not helped me to resolve the problem. Technical support from one company told me that I have probably some problem in system. Therefore I made SFCFix analylis and here are some problems I have. Please, would you be able to help me to resolve this problems with system and also with windows 8.1. with Bing? I do have Lenovo notebook.

Thank you in advance for your replies.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative. We'll do our best to resolve your issue. Let's please start out with the following.

Step#1 - SFCFix Script
Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop. If you still have this on your desktop from downloading previously, you don't need to re-download.
  2. Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
  5. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please

Step#2 - SFC Scan
1. Right-click on the Start
w8start.png
button and select Command Prompt (Admin)
2. When command prompt opens, Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Right-click > Paste) the following command into it, then press Enter
sfc /scannow

3. Once it finishes, copy and paste the following into the command-prompt window and press Enter.
copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"

4. Once this has completed please go to your Desktop and you will find CBS.txt => Right-click on this file and choose Send To...Compressed (zipped folder). Please upload this zipped file CBS.zip to this thread

Please Note:: if the file is too big to upload to your next post please upload via a service such as Dropbox or One Drive or SendSpace and just provide the link.

Excellent. No integrity violations. Let's do one more check.

Step#1 - DISM /RestoreHealth Scan

  1. Right-click on the Start

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  3. Once it finishes, copy and paste the following into the command-prompt window and press Enter. If prompted to overwrite the existing file go ahead.
    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
  4. Once this has completed please go to your Desktop and you will find CBS.txt => Please zip/upload to this thread.
Please Note:: if the file is too big (over 7MB) to upload to your next post, please upload via a service such as Dropbox or One Drive or SendSpace and just provide the link.

Thank you so much.

Brian, it finished, but I am not able to create cbs txt. It still wants to overwrite, so I still press enter, but it does not want to create any file on desktop.

Or should I after the requirement "overwrite" put "copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
and press ENTER?

Please, see in the attachment the required file.

Also, maybe important to mention, I do not understand why the letters in command prompt window are still very very small. Is it any error?

Thanks.

I wouldn't worry about the letters being small in the command prompt. Your logs look clean. Please do the following.

1. Manually download KB3071663 and install this update.
2. Manually download KB3087390 and install this update.

Let me know how it goes.

Brian, I downloaded the update KB3071663, installed it, restart it and once again the blue screen. It restarted 3 times and now on the screen I see recovery. It looks like windows didn`t load correctly. There is option see advanced repair options and restart my pc. I am writing now from the other pc, as I do not know what to do next.

Thank you.

That's so odd. Choose Advanced Options and then System Restore. Your computer should come up to the System Restore screen. You should then be able to click Next and then there should be a restore point from when you attempted the update.

Let me know if you see this. Thanks.

Yes, I see windows update, type: critical update from today`s date. Should i restore it, because other options are not there. Before i created some manually, but they are not there anymore?

Brian, will it be possible to repair my problem? It seems to be very strange that it still does not work. I do not know how much time you have today or let me know if we continue to solve it today or when I should come on pc? I do not know where are you from and which hours are for you available?

Thank you.

I restored already the system to that critical update. Now I am back on my pc

Ok, so I installed, restarted and once again the same situation like with the 1st update. So, I restored the system once again to critical update like with the 1st update. What do you recommend next?

Anyway, Lenovo downloaded one update. It has 9,5 MB. Before your help, I did not have this offer from them. Should I try to install it?

Thank you.
