I have a rather urgent issue and am really hitting some walls here. I was given an "all clear" on my previous thread and asked to start a thread here that would reference my previous dialogue:

Any feedback on that? I'd really like to resolve this as soon as possible...

Just need to give some fair warning here. If no one has any ideas, I need to proceed with a reinstallation on this system. I would like to get to the bottom of this since it appears that it may be a problem prompted by some update from MS, but this is simply drawing out too long for this particular issue.

Since I did not hear anything back on this front, I did upgrade the system to Windows 10 and this upgrade resolved all issues and made the system generally faster as a bonus.
