Hello,
In another post someone was having seemingly identical issues I am having where in trying to update my nvidia drivers. I did a clean install, but i keep getting a 'installation failed' error and trying to manually install them using the device manager method I get a error of "Configuration Registry Database Corrupt". I have seen the other post where the user attached their DRIVERS file from their computer. Would anybody be able to help me please?

ps. I have run the sfc scan and there does appear to be a problem, i am sorry but i didnt get a copy of what it said. i can run the scan again later and upload.

Ok so I ran the sfc again and this is the message I received:

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at
windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline
repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.

I am following the rules on posting that i didnt see before, so i am now moving on to the SURT/DISM scan....

SURT DISM scan results :"The operation completed successfully."

Still stuck on how to fix the issue :/

Sorry for bumping you guys but has anybody got any ideas of what else I can do? The only way I can make my computer usable right now is to pause the updates for 7 days at a time.
Side note: my screen resolution is low if that makes sense. The icons are huge and there is a black border around the screen.

I am still having driver issues. Ill attach my drivers folder. I cant even use my mouse anymore because (i assume) the DRIVERS folder is so corrupted. If there is anyone out there willing to help it would be a world of appreciation. Ive tried everything that I can think of (I am not the best when it comes to dealing with software issues). What I do know is that my Windows 10 at some point attempted to update and something got messed up. My video card drivers are caput (can only view in a very low resolution which i assume is just the Mobo native graphics) Cant use a host of peripherals (ie mouse)...my device manager is full of exclaimation points indicating that the drivers are missing etc. Ive tried to do a windows restore and reinstall but I just get error messages every time i attempt them. On the bright side Ive taught myself how to operate my computer with just inputs from the keyboard :D

In advance, Cheers....

I'm sorry, but we only have 1 or 2 trained Windows Updates Experts that are here as often as possible. The others have gone back to work, school, or real-life activities. I am not a trained WU Expert.

What OS are you running that you did a clean install with?

You did a clean install that wiped/formatted the hard drive? If so, Windows Updates should have brought in just about all of the drivers that you needed. Which driver were you attempting to install manually?

Problems after a clean install tend to indicate possible unknown hardware issues.

Please run the app - Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions - Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7 + Vista

Attach the resulting zip to your next post in this thread.

Thanks for the quick reply/ Im sorry for the long response.

My OS is win10, and just to clarify I am not attempting to do a clean install, rather the "reset this PC" function that windows offers instead of wiping and reformatting... When I attempt to 'reset' the process immediatley starts at 30%, then appears to be working but once the process is finished I get an error that no changes were made.

Apologies in advance, I am terrible when it comes to jargon etc, so I hope I didnt make things more confusing.

Attached are the BSOD zip.

I also have another question and was wondering if anyone could help. I hope this doesnt sound stupid :D

I have been attempting to reset my PC but selecting the "keep my files" option to no avail. If I choose the "remove everything" option -maybe that will work- will I lose all the data off my other drives? I have 5 other hdds with music movies etc that I would like to keep. I do not care about any of the applications etc.. I can just backup and reinstall them, just dont want to lose all my media.

Thanks
