Hi everyone,

I have a Windows 10 machine that has several issues after running out of space.
SFC /scannow is not working and neither is DISM.

SFCFix log tells me the following:
Code:
SFCFix version 3.0.2.1 by niemiro.
Start time: 2022-05-02 15:54:15.743
Microsoft Windows 10 Build 18363 - amd64
Not using a script file.

AutoAnalysis::
WARNING: Failed to check store directories with return code 1 and error code ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND. COMPONENTS hive may be corrupt.

WARNING: Components hive failed load test and may be corrupt.

WARNING: Components hive failed final reload test with error code ERROR_BADDB and may be corrupt.

SUMMARY: No corruptions were detected.
AutoAnalysis:: directive completed successfully.

Successfully processed all directives.
SFCFix version 3.0.2.1 by niemiro has completed.
Currently storing 0 datablocks.
Finish time: 2022-05-02 15:55:40.555

I've uploaded the Logs as well as the COMPONENTS file here: COMPONENTS.zip
In other threats I've seen that you were able to fix the hive somehow, maybe you can do the same here.
I would really appreciate any help.

Thanks.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

I will look into your problem.
Note: I'm currently in training so my posts will need to be approved by the Sysnative instructors.

Hi,

Download
61f7aba7309a1-ComponentsScanner_Icon.png
ComponentsScanner and save it to your desktop.
  • Right-click ComponentsScanner.exe and select "Run as administrator", click Yes on the UAC (User Account Control) prompt which appears.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions.
  • When the following message appears: "ComponentsScanner has detected the following issues that it is able to repair automatically."
  • Press Y to perform the repair.

  • Once complete, a report will be saved to your desktop called ComponentsScanner.txt.
  • Post the logfile ComponentsScanner.txt as attachment into your next reply.

Hi,

thank you very much. Seems like it worked. I could successfully run sfc /scannow afterwards, so I'm making progress.
I only have a screenshot of the output right now.

Code:
[...]
== Critical Errors ===
Hive failed regedit load test with error ERROR_BADDB: The configuration registry database is currupt.
[...]
Repair Type: ERROR_BADDB
  * Pre Repair Stage: Nothing to do
  * Repair Stage: Successfully updated primary and secondary sequence numbers to 3806
  * Post Repair Stage: Hive successfully loaded in Regedit without error

Hi,

There is no log file with the name ComponentsScanner.txt on your desktop?

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to: %TEMP%\sysnative\ComponentsScanner\Reports is here the log file present?

There is a log file, but I currently don't have access to that machine. I will upload the file once I'm on that machine.
