[SOLVED] code 1 error when trying to install windows kb4093118 Win7 x64 sp1

Code 1 Windows Update encountered an unknown error

I tried running the windows update fix it tool. I also tried renaming the c:\windows\softwaredistribution folder

Also, sfc /scannow reported no errors

When the windows update troubleshooter finished it had the following "problems found"
Windows Update error 0x80070005(2018-04-17-T-06_06_14P) Not fixed

on latest attempt to re-run windows update, received the error 80070002

Other updates install ok, like .Net....
