Hi, I am facing the same problem (I have a log named: sfcdetails.txt) and I have run Method 1 of yours and also tried SFCFix.exe in your first post. (I have a log named: sfcdetails.txt)

Upon completion of the SFCFix.exe, it has created a file called SFCFix.txt on my desktop which records as follow:

SFCFix version 2.3.0.0 by niemiro.
Start time: 2014-07-15 16:08:08.077
Not using a script file.

AutoAnalysis::
FIXED: Performed DISM repair on file Amd64\CNBJ2530.DPB of version 6.3.9600.16384.

SUMMARY: Some corruptions could not be fixed automatically. Seek advice from helper or sysnative.com.

After that I ran a sfc /scannow via Command Prompt (admin) and it showed some problems with the DISM which I can't find the location of the log now. (if you need me to run again, I can do so)

Anyway, attached with this is my CBS file.. I hope that helps because I am really clueless about computers and what is happening.

Hello Law

I have split your post into a new thread :)

SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
  2. Download SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
  5. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put [CODE][/CODE] tags around the log to break up the text.

SFC /SCANNOW

    Code:
    cmd /c copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
  3. Press Enter
  4. Once this has completed please go to your Desktop and you will find CBS.txt => Please upload CBS.txt to this thread

Hi.

Thank you for your prompt response and also for creating a new thread for me.

All right, the result from the aforementioned step 1 is (just in case I don't know how to do the CODE thingy, I have attached the file together as well)

Hi, first of all thank you! But I am concerned as it still says that Group Policy Client had some errors starting at startup. My browsers and app/ program initiation are tremendously slow which was fast before all these. Could this be a similar problem or this is something else?

I don't believe the symptoms you are currently having are related to the corruptions.

Is this computer hocked up to a network? Are you using any group policies at all?

GPRESULT

  1. Right click on the
    aa922834-ed43-40f1-8830-d5507badb56c_39.jpg
    button
  2. Click on Command prompt (Admin) => Press Yes on the prompt
  3. Inside the Command Prompt windows copy and paste the following command
    gpresult /Scope Computer /v >1&&notepad 1
  4. Once finished a notepad file will pop up. Please post the contents back here

Hmm, this computer is not on any network as far as my knowledge goes. And I don't think I am on any group policy but really, I can't be 100% sure.

I ran Command Prompt as an admin. It still shows the same Error message. Hmm.. To be honest, all these started when my Group Policy Client decides not to work and I can't manually start it at Open Services.

I shall try the steps at malware removal now. Thanks!

And oh, I don't think the link you sent me shows a backup step for Windows 8. What should I do?

By the way, the DDS could not work on my laptop as it says it cannot run in compatibility mode. I suspect the link you gave me does not work on Windows 8.. Please advice and let me know what to do. :eek4: Once again thank you for your time!!!!

It appears DDS is not compatible with Windows 8. Follow the reset of the instructions in that thread. When you create a new thread in the security forum just mention that you were unable to run DDS

I have done so in the Security Arena. Hopefully someone will review it and provide a solution to the problems I am having.:confused2:

Regardless, thank you very much for your assistance and time.:smile9:
