I had the opportunity to read a similar article reference a push by the European Union towards an Electronic ID card. I'm often concerned that while such things seem all well and good on their face, who doesn't want to protect children, it seems a slippery slope model regarding personal privacy matters. Seems the future potential employers and or law enforcement representatives might just need to plug in your e-ID number to their computer and up comes everything you've ever said, done or thought on-line.

Probably just my paranoia but to quote Mr. Franklin again “Anyone who trades liberty for security deserves neither liberty nor security”.
Maybe parents should protect their children from the evil internet and let government do some of the things that it is suppose to do.

Exactly!
Oh that it were so easy.
