Hello everyone.
So I've been trying to update my windows for a while now, but unfortunately everything I tried didn't come successful. I even tried to reinstall Windows using an ISO disc image and that as well with no avail. After first restart i starts to update but then it interrupts and restarts again to desktop, with no changes made.
I have also tried sfc scan and DISM to fix the issue. sfc scan gives me no errors but when i run Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth, it gives me an error saying that the source was not founded. Even when pointing the source from an ISO disc image. So now I'm really confused and honestly have no idea what to do. I opened the CBS logs and there it says it found 65 CBS Manifest Corruptions.
I will attach my CBS log files and ComponentsScanner.txt here.
If you need any other information I'll be happy to give it to you.
Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

Step 1. Download

  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Maybe i should try to do an in-place upgrade?

Thank you so much again! you were the only person who was able to help me with this.

hey Maxstar,
just wanted to update you on the situation.
The problem is finally fixed! after some attempts to update within the Windows i gave up and did an in-place upgrade. To my surprise, this time it worked! Now my PC is as healthy as it was before!
As for what caused the problem, my guess is, it's because of hardware change. I changed my CPU and motherboard from Intel to AMD and after that the problems started appearing. I don't really know what exactly caused it, for anyone looking at this thread trying to fix their problem. But if you changed your hardware and got corrupted files, there is this site UUP where you can find many versions of windows and replace the needed files.
Anyway, thank you again Maxstar! You are a hero.
I will update this thread as solved.
