Can't start windows firewall

Hello, Recently I've been getting a windows notification a few minutes after starting up my computer.

"Windows firewall is turned off, click or tap to turn it on."

Every time I try that, but it just throws me to the "windows security" settings screen, and there everything shows up as enabled or "no action required".

Today i did some digging and apparently the "Windows Defender Firewall Service" is not able to start. I checked and apparently BFE was not able to start, I fixed that by editing permissions and now it starts up automatically just fine, but the firewall doesn't.

Start up type is set to automatic but it does not even try until I click on it and start it manually. And even when I do, it throws an error, but it just said it failed to start and no error was thrown by the service.

Any help on fixing this would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Firewall & Network Protection>Restore Firewall to Default> Restore.
I forgot I posted here for a week. Sorry.

Anyway, I try that but it says something is wrong and that settings needed to be changed and it blocks all my buttons.

I can check again for what it says tomorrow and I will respond to this message

This is the message I see when I try doing anything in control panel that has to do with the firewall.

When I click on the "use recommended settings" button, my mouce loads for a bit but nothing happens.
