Greetings, yesterday I changed my microsoft account password. The problem is I wanted to see if all was working ok so I though I hit reboot but instead I hit lock screen by mistake (therein lies the problem) it want's the password (I use a local account) So I put in the password it says password incorrect it shows the password hint I created so I do it again wrong password. OK it asks to use a pin (which also I have used) put in the pin it says you changed your password(for MS account not local) you need to use password before using pin WTF. It says try logging in with your MS account ok tried that wrong password ? Tried using old password forget about it. Contacted MS they say everything looks correct but no answer on helping me to log back in(on ?) Any way if anyone has or had this happen all help is appreciated and by the way I've tried system restore, previous versions, reset this computer, each one of these wants a password. the user name is fine no problem. Thnx people :banghead:

Update still can't log on but there's news afloat ,just out of curiosity, I started typing in the local account password that I havn't changed I did this several times and after each time same story incorrect password. Well after several times the broken circle with welcome came up held for a few seconds (as if it was going to load) and then of course incorrect password came up . Any ideas of what's going on here?

You are still asking for help to bypass an invalid password. Sorry, but we cannot help you with that.

What you can do is take the computer with proof of ownership for the Windows license, and a valid ID to a reputable repair shop where they can verify you are who you say you are. Then they can help you.

Please note people come to sites asking for help to crack passwords on stolen computers or pirated software. We have no way of knowing if the poster is using their real name or if they are the legitimate owner of said computer and software. So we have no choice but to not help in this area. I hope you can understand and appreciate our position.
