Please zip all files in the folder C:\Windows\Logs\CBS and attach it to your next reply.
Note: if the file is too big to upload to your next post please upload via a service such as Filedropper or One Drive or SendSpace and just provide the download link.

Install Update KB4040980 with DISM

  1. Download the update MSU here: http://download.windowsupdate.com/c/msdownload/update/software/secu/2017/09/windows6.1-kb4040980-x64_83282fb5210091802984ead0d4175879056d602c.msu
  2. Copy the MSU file to a convenient location (such as C:\temp).
  3. Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  4. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
  5. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

    cd C:\temp
replace C:\temp with your path if different

    expand windows6.1-kb4040980-x64_83282fb5210091802984ead0d4175879056d602c.msu -f:* C:\temp

    DISM.exe /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:C:\temp\windows6.1-kb4040980-x64
  6. You should receive the message:
    The operation completed successfully.
  7. Make sure to allow the computer to restart if prompted.

If you receive any other message:
  8. Right-click on the Command Prompt window and click Select All, this will invert all of the colours by selecting the text, now press enter. All of this text is now copied.
  9. Paste (Ctrl+V) it into your next post.
  10. Zip and attach C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

Check Windows Update and report the result.
If it fails, disable your antivirus first and try Windows Update again.
If it fails, run sfc /scannow and attach the zipped cbs.log to your next reply.

WU can't find SP1. If I run it(KB976932-X64) manually I have error message: "The W7 SP installation cannot proceed until your computer is restarted. Please restart your computer and try again".

Another software now run their installer! But can't be installed because SP1 for Windows 7 isn't installed.

2. Download the attachment fixlist.txt and save it to your desktop.
3. Right-click on FRST.exe and select "Run as administrator".
4. Press the Fix button.
5. The tool will now process fixlist.txt.
6. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
7. When finished, a log called Fixlog.txt will appear in the same directory the tool is run from.
8. Post the logfile Fixlog.txt as attachment in your next reply.
